For the next couple of days I’m shooting RED Epic with really old Lomo anamorphic lenses for the opening titles of a new tv show coming to Channel 5 soon. We chose these specific anamorphic lenses in comparison to others or spherical glass due to the softness that they give. It’s very complimentary towards skin tones, with the various ultracon filters and an optical flat which can be seen in the photo with coloured sequins stuck to it gives an amazing aesthetic which really works for the project. Unfortunately I can’t post a picture of the image but hopefully if you’ve ever seen or shot anamorphic with the array of filters we’ve got in then you’ll understand what I’m trying to explain.
